Which Shampoo Bar Will Work Best For You?
The shampoo bar that will work best for you depends on so many factors that it is next to impossible to guess. They are generally for all hair types so there isn't one that we can suggest for dry or oily hair, etc. We suggest you try a few of our shampoo bar samplers to see which bar works best for you.

How long will a shampoo bar last?
It really depends on how you use it, how often you use it, how much you lather up, how many people are using it, how long you shower, if you use it for hair only or your whole body, the list of factors are almost endless. The answer could be a few weeks to (?).

To maximize the lifecycle of your soap it important that you keep your soap dry between uses. Soaps should be kept on a soap dish which drains very well or hung in a soap pouch and should be allowed to dry between uses. You can find soap dishes under "Bath Accessories" on our site.

Suggested Uses
Hair/Face/Body/Hands

How To Use A Shampoo Bar
Lather lightly and rinse well. Follow with 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water rinse if necessary.

Success with shampoo bars consists of several factors include your water hardness, other products you have used as well as the length of your hair. Those with soft water and short hair have the easiest time using shampoo bars. If you’ve never used a shampoo bar before, start out with a sampler from our Samplers page. We also offer Exactly Organics and Miessence shampoo which seem to work much better for those with hard water.

"I've tried your Shea Butter Shampoo and Body Bar and your Babassu Shampoo and Body Bar, and am so thankful to find something safe that works on my hair. I did try a liquid shampoo from another company who also sells natural/organic products like yours. My hair was greasy after I used it. It never looked or felt totally clean. I cut my hair really short thinking less hair, less shampoo, maybe it won't look as oily using that shampoo, but it still did not work well. I probably would have had to use vinegar or baking soda after to get it looking cleaner, and I could have, but it was just another step, more time, etc., so I searched for another product and found yours. I can use your shampoo bars from head to toe (one product for everything, very convenient!), and my hair looks perfectly clean (along with the rest of me)! I reordered more of them and some additional shampoo bars to try as well, which I received very quickly, so I can't wait to try them."

"I saw your blog about the use of shampoo bars, and some people needing to use the baking soda or vinegar rinse. Amazingly enough we have very hard water and my hair looks perfect just shampooing with your shampoo bar. With that said, I am going back to long hair so I am growing it out, and if I feel the bar is leaving my hair a bit oily, I have no problem taking those extra steps with the vinegar or baking soda as rinse aids. I am never going back to conventional shampoo. For me, I feel much, much better using natural/organic products and vinegar and baking soda, than commercial, hyped products loaded with who knows what. An extra step is much better than using conventional shampoo and the potential risks involved. My only regret is that I didn't smarten up sooner."

"The Shea Butter bar is my favorite and I think it is the best shampoo bar for my hair. It conditions lightly and doesn’t weigh down my fine hair and my hair is soft and has body."
